The first independent Research Site/SMO in Mexico dedicated exclusively to clinical research. For over 11 years, IMIC has been conducting clinical trials in Phases I-IV under GCP & ICH Guidelines throughout Mexico, covering most Therapeutic Areas, has full-time bilingual personnel, and assists in all regulatory submissions & study drug import process.

IMIC would like to thank you all for making the ACRP 2011 Global Conference in Seattle a success.  The registration #s were very good with a little over 2200 total attendees.   The exhibit hall looked great and hope you had a fun and productive show.

The Drug Information Association (DIA) and the Mexican Institute of Clinical Research (IMIC) invite all members of the medical and clinical research communities to THE FIRST LATIN-AMERICAN CONGRESS OF CLINICAL RESEARCH, to be held on February 27th through March 1, 2002 in Mexico City’s Hotel Presidente Inter Continental.

The activities include a pre-Congress course, which will cover the most important aspects of organizing and conducting clinical trials in compliance with ICH and GCP guidelines and regulations.

The Congress is designed to offer all the information necessary for the successful conduct of clinical trials in Latin America, providing detailed information on regulatory aspects and ethical issues. The Congress will present a prospective overview of the participation of Latin America in global clinical research.

THE FIRST LATIN-AMERICAN CONGRESS OF CLINICAL RESEARCH is a must for all who participate in any stage of clinical research.

The growth of Mexican SMO, (IMIC) Instituto Mexicano de Investigación Clínica has been steady. The first private research organization located in Mexico City, has established numerous academic and research affiliations with prestigious universities and hospitals. IMIC is currently negotiating an agreement with the largest and most important Pediatric Hospital in Mexico City to establish and manage a new Research Center within the hospital. IMIC is also developing a new Phase I site in collaboration with the most prominent private medical school in Mexico.

IMIC is currently conducting 30 clinical trials for sixteen sponsors, in areas that include CNS, Respiratory Allergies, Nutrition, Osteoarthritis, Diabetes, Ophthalmology, Skin infections, G-I, Respiratory Infections, Cancer, Vaccines and HIV/AIDS.

IMIC's research personnel include eleven full-time study coordinators well trained in GCP and ICH. It also has fifty specialists in its Investigator database, all experienced and with a large pre-screened patient base. IMIC patient database includes over three thousand patients and covers a wide spectrum of common and uncommon ailments.

The Quality Assurance department of IMIC is fully integrated. Recent USA audits confirm the quality standards of clinical research at IMIC.
